Fox Smart Releases Cisco Smart Update 1.0 Release Candidate 2
Poolesville, Maryland - March 3, 2008 - Fox Smart released Cisco
Smart Update 1.0 Release Candidate 2 today. This release fixes some issues related to newer IOS versions
and adds support for communicating with a router using SSH 1.5 and SSH 2.0. Release candidate 1 had previously only
supported the telnet protocol. Release Candidate 2 will most likely be the final release candidate with
the official 1.0 release scheduled in the coming weeks.
In the past months, Fox Smart has tested out the CSU product with newer versions of IOS on Cisco routers and
Catalyst switches. This additional testing will help ensure the toolklit is more robust and more stable when
interacting with various target devices. In addition, adding SSH support to the toolkit will ensure that all
communication with a target device is encrypted for added security.
